Covers MENTORR's Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines — applicable to all mentors, mentees, advisors, and founders.

Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not do on the platform

1. Permitted Use

  • Build and maintain a professional profile for mentorship matching
  • Communicate with matched mentors, mentees, and advisors
  • Enrol in courses, attend events, and access community forums
  • Apply to the Startup Accelerator and career opportunities
  • Share professional knowledge, resources, and feedback in good faith

2. Prohibited Use

  • Misrepresent yourself — false credentials, fabricated experience, or impersonating another person or organisation.
  • Solicit payments outside of official MENTORR-facilitated advisory arrangements.
  • Spam or harass — unsolicited bulk messages, repeatedly contacting users who have declined contact, or any form of harassment.
  • Scrape or harvest data — using automated tools to extract user profiles or platform content.
  • Circumvent security — bypassing authentication, accessing unauthorised accounts, or reverse-engineering the platform.
  • Share illegal content — content infringing intellectual property rights, containing malware, or violating any applicable law.
  • Discriminate — refusing or degrading engagement based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Game match scores — entering false data to manipulate Synergy Match results.

3. Enforcement

Violations may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent termination. We may act without prior notice where user safety is at risk. Appeals: trust@mentorr.io.

Community Guidelines

How we expect members to treat one another

4. Respect & Inclusion

MENTORR is built on the belief that growth happens fastest in psychologically safe environments. Every member deserves to be treated with respect regardless of career stage, industry, or background. Dismissive or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated.

5. Honest & Constructive Feedback

Mentorship depends on honest feedback. Share candid professional opinions while remaining constructive and solution-focused. Personal attacks or feedback intended to demean rather than develop are prohibited.

6. Confidentiality Between Members

What is shared in sessions is confidential. Members must not share session content or personal disclosures without explicit consent from the other party.

7. No Self-Promotion in Forums

Community forums exist for knowledge sharing, not advertising. Unsolicited promotion of products or services is prohibited. Share resources only when they genuinely serve the community.

8. Reporting Violations

Report violations using the in-platform report feature or email trust@mentorr.io. Reports are reviewed within 48 hours. We do not tolerate retaliation against good-faith reporters.
